Looking back, the first time I played Golf in Korea was more than decades ago.
I was invited by my SNU Medical School classmate who was a member of SNU
MC's Volleyball team with me from our Pre-Med Course. I was the Setter.
After graduation, he had very successful ENT(ear, nose, and throat) specialist
clinic and he could afford to buy an exclusive golf membership those days -
Han-yang Country Club, somewhere surburb of Seoul which I couldn't think of
purchasing the membership - So expensive it was.
I was shocked to see so many Golfers early in the morning when we arrived at
the Golf course including young women. Anyway, we got on the course, and I
noticed he was so good especially from 150 yards on to make Par or Birdie.
His skill as a sportsman applied here in Golf game. I thought he was a good
Golfer as good as he was at Volleyball and Tennis. He was the Champion am
ong doctors in Tennis - I heard.
And years after, as I recall, I visited Golf courses in Seoul, Busan and Jejudo.
I remember I played in Gyeong-ju Chosun Hotel's Country Club with another
my medical school classmate who was also a member of Volleyball team. He
was a True Single Handicapper - I would say.
Most of the time following years when I visited to Korea, I usually played with
my high school classmates - 33 hoe, in Seoul and Busan, but I didn't have a
chance in Jinju, even though they have Monthly Outing as we do here, Now !
because of conflicting my travel schedule.
933 friends have been busy and active in various Sports activities including
Monthly Golf Outing as others we see online, but they never post on the Web
page - which I don't understand.
But I found one class - 38 hoe, does display online as follows;

Next time on, I might get on the Golf courses as often as I can when I go to
Korea, instead of visiting Noraebang which I did in the past. I want to enjoy
the Natural Beauty of my motherland - Korea.
PS; Do I talk too much about Golf? I can't help it.
It's because Golf has been very important part of
my life like other Sports I have had enjoyed.
- Any complaint?
- Please, keep it to yourself.
I miss my old friends a lot. And when you miss them,
Who were Young and Innocent,
- Not like these days here in America,
- You'll meet them someday - For Sure;
One more time for 38/Hoe Golf Club in Korea;
These are the Images of Setter - of Volleyball position
at which I spent most of my school days from 3rd grade
of Primary School to my military service and could
Cultivate "Sportsmanship" - which I think we need in
our society. "Sportsmanship", I said !;
