Somebody asked me "why I am talking about Golf so much" in my lousy writings
some years ago. He's a good Golfer as far as I know because I played with him
a few times. But - he sounded like Representing non-golfers among Koreans.
As you know, they treat Goflers like "Haves" and non-golfers as "Have nots" like
1% vs 99% - kind of Class Warfare. What a stupidity this is! Golf is just a Sports
which I love to practice as I did Volleyball, Tennis, Soccer, and even Ping-pong.
What's difference? Golfing in Korea is expensive sports, not like in America.
Because Korea is a small country - and 70% of the land is mountainous as
you know, and it's hard to develop Golf courses, not like America.
As I said before, the world has about 30,000 Golf courses and more than half
is in America - about 20,000. Korea? about 470 and growing in numbers. It's
natural because America is about 100 times bigger than Korea, and in population,
America has 7 times more polulation than Korea - it's Natural consequence as
you can see when you see the difference - and more difference in their GNI -
Americans' Annual Income is about more than Double, compared with Koreans.
But,
Golf as a Sports - No difference here in America and In Korea, I think.
We, as common citizens, play at the public courses in America while
Bill Gates is a member of exclusive Golf course like Augusta National.
But,
We take it as Natural - not complaining,
not feeling Jealous of his membership.
We just engage in the same Sports
- at different courses and we enjoy.
