My Memories of Samcheonpo;

When I was growing up in Jinju, most of the fish came from Sacheon

and Samcheonpo to Jinju Fish Market - that I know. Because I went

to Jinju Market Place for our family's meal preparation upon my late

mother's request. It was easy for me to go there riding bicycle and

wanted to help my late mother who was always busy in the kitchen

for the preparation of meals of our family - for the day.

And

when I was a college boy, when I was in love with one girl who was

from our hometown, I took her to Samcheonpo by bus.

It was rainy day, but looking at the oncoming waves,

stting on the rock, was pretty much romantic, I thought

and I remember - not forgotten.

I don't know how many more times I went to see the ocean of

Samcheonpo with her and I don't know whether she thinks of

the ocean, especially that rainy day's, this story is a part of me

- I still remember vividly almost 50 years later - today.
